New York City isn't the only place in the Union that openly crushes freedom with an iron fist. Welcome San Fransisco to your place in history among all the great dictatorial states that came before you from the ancient tyrants of the Greek and Roman city states of Athens and Rome to the modern dictators of today.
I write about the law that was passed to crush personal freedom by outlawing public nudity in San Francisco. Such things are never solely about nudity or any particular cause. The cause of freedom to live without crushing government control has always been a centerpiece for the struggle against oppression. Today, that cause has suffered a defeat in the palace of darkness known as San Francisco. It rings a palisade of intolerance and hate around their hearts and what was once a city of tolerance and equality.
What can the people do against such tyranny except what is known as "public disobedience"? People should fight this and should do what they can to restore freedom if it can be done. This may seem minor to some but the idea of freedom is important to all. People should walk around nude. Law or no law. People should face assault by government troops and face imprisonment and forced silence for their efforts but protest is always worth the risk. People should not suffer tyranny at the hands of freedom haters. Those that supported this law and passed it would have never found a themselves a seat amongst the founders of this Union. The idea of tyranny is antithetical to their beliefs.
An individual who breaks a law that conscience tells him is unjust and who willingly accepts the penalty of imprisonment in order to arouse the conscience of the community over its injustice, is in reality expressing the highest respect for the law.
