I think it is time for me to explain why I am not voting this year. People always say things and they are mostly similar to “You should vote because it is a right” or “You should vote on principle even if your person doesn’t win”. Well, good for them I think. They have their reasons to vote even if they are mostly meaningless. With rights, talk to those that are denied this so-called right. And why make the effort when it makes no difference? They will not listen to the people or what they want. Furthermore, even the act of voting is nothing but a popularity contest, not a test of who is right for this failing nation. Voting is a waste of time that I’m not going to waste. Not even one second this year I will spend on this hopeless endeavor. The principle of it is a lie and there is no reason to vote in this nation.
How many don’t have their rights protected anymore? Voter fraud is the new way for people to scam some out of this so-called “right”, an event that happens seldom if ever yet real fraud in the elections is ignored. The corporate powers have taken control via their puppet court in Washington. They have the power to manipulate and twist public opinion and sway the elections in their favor. So real people don’t have the “right” to vote if the politicians have their way but the corporate powers are free to do what they want because “money is speech”. Why can’t we buy our votes then?
Even if you can vote, it doesn’t matter at all. Both major candidates are the same corrupt types that don’t care about the people. They lie and manipulate the truth to suit their message. They spend over a billion dollars to ensure that you hear their lies and both major state propaganda outlets on television and a legion of others out there have worked hard to spread the lies to all. They only pander to you when they want your vote. The rest of the time, they are passing laws to ban your right to speak out to them at their rallies. They have with the “Grounds improvement and restrictions act” or as I call it, the “protest ban act”. Of course they have the NDAA and the Patriot Act to back this tyranny too and a plethora of armed soldiers at their bidding.
Pick who you want but they will not do as you please. Vote for Obama. He promised change, did he not? Where is it? He promised so many things such as the reduction of debt, the end of Guantanamo Bay and other things. Debt is out of his hands so why promise it at all? Unless he abolished the Federal Reserve and we know he doesn’t care about the people to do that. Guantanamo Bay and his policy are all about unmasking his true self as a warmonger. Vote for Mitt Romney. He has openly stated that if you are not rich then he doesn’t care about you. So that is blatant enough. He promised change too because the last time worked so well. What change? He doesn’t say. Probably back to Bush II dictatorship but now armed with even more power thanks to Obama. Ready to go into Iran? Both sides are equally divisive and do nothing but destructive acts to this country and its reputation.
And what of the election itself? As described above, the candidates are the same so why do people so divisive? It is about several things and they all involve the fact that the act of voting is nothing but a huge popularity contest. Few care enough to actually understand the issues. Those that do are independent or libertarians. Not left wing or right wing. They are the same. Both candidates are the same. The words they speak are the same, you only need to listen. People work hard to get their person elected so they can congratulate on winning like a small town wishes to see their sports team win the “big game”. This is the small-minded blue or red person’s “big game” moment where they can pretend to triumph over the other side while nothing gets done.
In conclusion, voting is a huge waste of time and it means nothing. So while all of you that haven’t voted early are standing out there with others in line, maybe being watched by UN or NAACP or whoever, I will be at home and wishing Ron Paul was President via decree from the founders themselves…if only in my imagination of course. Have a good “Super Tuesday”.
